The project is located in Yucui Garden, Changzhou City, and the owners are a newlywed couple.

In the fast-paced contemporary urban life, "returning to simplicity" has become an important proposition for advanced aesthetics.

We reshape the spatial layout, using minimalist philosophy to reconstruct spatial order. In an open and transparent space, we create a healing living place through material dialogue, color narrative, and soft decoration white space.

At the entrance, we open up the original space and turn it into an open foyer.

The public area is the place where the elderly can spend the most time in the day, and we hope to ensure that the route is smooth, the air is circulated, and the line of sight is unobstructed; At the entrance of the door, there are shoe changing seats, shoe cabinets and lockers, and we hope to be as thoughtful as possible for the owners, and solve the functional problems needed in life for the elderly through design.

The windows in the foyer can not only bring in natural light, but also allow the elderly to feel the four seasons outside the window from different perspectives.

The overall color tone of the TV background is chosen as clean white, interspersed with natural wood colored niche partitions, making the space more layered, The form of the entire cabinet increases daily storage for use.he top surface adopts ultra long and extremely narrow air vents, which visually extend the space. Furniture selection follows the principle of "less is more", where each item has a dual value of sculptural and functional appeal. The remaining materials of the wall cave stones were not wasted, and were made into a side table form to decorate the living room space.

The living room is connected to the study, and we have made wooden cabinets for storage at the load-bearing wall, which not only divides the space but also increases the functionality for daily use, making it convenient for daily life.

The material selection follows the principle of "authentic aesthetics", focusing on presenting the original texture of the material. The wall adopts a golden ratio of micro cement and oak veneer. The former lays the spatial foundation with a gray texture, while the latter injects warm wood grain into the living temperature. The ground is covered with flooring to create a softer and warmer overall atmosphere.

One wall of the study is made of natural cave stone material, which contrasts the natural texture and white quietness. A large amount of blank space makes the space more rational and calm. A soft couch or single chair can be placed in the area connected to the balcony, allowing for reflection and relaxation under the sunshine.

The kitchen and restaurant adopt an open form, making the space more fluid and multifunctional. All household appliances adopt an embedded form, even the most complex areas of the entire home should be infused with the minimalist concept of the homeowner to facilitate the daily life of the owner. A 1.2-meter-high wooden countertop is set between the dining room and the living room, which serves as a bar counter to increase functionality and create a visual buffer to separate the space.

The natural stone wall extends from the study to the bathroom. As the entrance faces the guest bathroom, the manager changed the bathroom door to an invisible door to weaken the visual impact when entering.

The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas. The height of the washing machine and dryer is determined according to the owner's height, and they are placed in the same space as the basin in an embedded form. The bathroom is located in the center of the entire residence, so the manager also placed the position of the robotic vacuum cleaner here to integrate space usage functions, improve utilization, and facilitate the lives of homeowners.

The bedroom changes its conventional form and sets up niches for storage instead of the traditional layout of headrests, backrests, and bedside tables, making the space more minimalist.

The overall color tone continues the main theme of the space, and the natural wood and warm toned micro cement make this sleeping space more relaxed, warm, and quiet.

The main guard adopts a sliding door method, which can ensure privacy and save space in a very small space.

In this 250 square meter minimalist wooden residence, the design has stripped away all redundant decorations, making the authenticity of materials, changes in light and shadow, and spatial proportions the absolute protagonists. When the residents step barefoot on the warm wooden floor, their fingers caress the rough micro cement wall, and their eyes are filled with the natural growth of material texture and carefully calculated light and shadow order, modern urbanites yearn for a dwelling where they find the most restrained expression. This design language is not only about shaping space, but also a philosophical inquiry into the essence of life - in an era of material abundance, what kind of container do we need to place our souls?
